4 egg whites
8 oz sugar
2 small teaspoons vinegar
pinch of salt

Beat egg whites stiffly with picn of salt
gradually add sugar then vinegar
Turn 8" sandwich tin upside down
wet butter paper and place on top and pile mixture on top and flatten out
Place in middle of hot oven turn oven down as low as possible and cook for 1 hour
