How do I social network

My problem is understanding the process with Social Networking - I’ll need to get with it as I can understand the benefits but he question is “how do I do it”?

Hope this helps and please leave a comment to let us know how you go.

Imagine you are watching a documentary on TV. The ad comes on and you say to your self I know a couple of people that would be very interested in watching this. So before you know it you pick up the phone and suggest to each person that they should watch the documentary on TV too.

Now imagine that each of the people you contacted do the same. And then imagine that each of the people they contact do the same.

Assuming that everyone contacts 3 people that pass the news on then very quickly many people will learn about what you are interested in.

Social networking is a term that simply means sharing information with others. The first step is to join a group. Comment on what other people are saying and when you are ready start sharing links and information with the group.

Once you get a little bit of experience seeing what is happening in the groups that you join you can then start your own.

Efficient way to do stuff we’ve always done in Freemasonry

Social networking is a natural extension of our Masons Connect Website. Trawling Facebook produces an extraordinary amount of positive (some not so positive) information directly related to my interest in Freemasonry and other Masonic Orders. The friends that you make are just one of the many benefits to social networking online - it’s an efficient way to do stuff we’ve always done in Freemasonry of getting to know one another better and sharing ideas.
