A Licence was granted to the Lodge of Tradition No. 746 by M W Bro Major General Sir Dallas Brooks, KCB CMG DSO KStJ, Grand Master to hold a Lodge of Instruction at St. George's Church Hall, Windsor. The Licence was issued on the 18th of June 1954 for meetings to be held on the third Wednesday of each month. The Lodge of Instruction now meets on the fourth Monday of each month (except December) at Gardenvale Masonic Centre, starting at 7:30 pm. Each month, zealous and aspiring Freemasons, who have attained the rank of Master Mason, learn how to master the intricacies of ceremonial, of presenting charges in Lodge and of proposing and responding to Toasts in the South. These skills are taught by a group of experienced and enthusiastic Past Masters. Items of Masonic Knowledge are also discussed and debated at each meeting, as we realise that there is more to Freemasonry than just ceremonial. It has also become customary for us to afterwards go for a coffee and discuss the other aspects of our lives, strengthening our existing friendships and giving opportunity to develop new ones. Although it carries the name of the Lodge of Tradition, the Tradition Lodge of Instruction No. 215 is open to any affiliated Freemason who wants to advance his knowledge of The Craft. W Bro David Kwietel, on (03) 9570-5938 if you would like to join us at our next meeting. |
