Tuesday 11th December 2007. There was no Lodge meeting on this night. However, we had a Ladies and non-Freemasons night in its place. Being December and close to Christmas, the theme for the night was orientated towards Christmas Day. The dining area was festooned with all the trappings of Christmas.
The night was further enhanced with the Babirra Theatre Group. They entertained us with songs from “Annie Get Your Gun” and other popular hits from the musicals. In the second half, they completed a very successful evening with Christmas Carols. Some of us managed to join in, but we were no challenge to the Babirra Groups high standard.
It was my pleasure to welcome the ladies and non-Freemasons who were all impressed with the evenings proceedings.
My grateful thanks go to all who participated in setting up the evening for such an important event. It was magnificent.
We will be rehearsing the First Degree on February 5th, 2008.
For the 12th February meeting we will have a talk by Ian Richards from the Grand Lecturers Panel. The subject being, “A Journey Through the First Degree”.
I trust that Christmas was a joyous one to all the brethren and their families, and may the New Year bring peace and prosperity to you all.
