Jam Drop Cookies

This is nice and easy

2 cups self raislng flour
1 cup caster sugar
1 cup desiccated coconut
1/4 cup milk
200 gram melted butter
jam or glace cherries of your choice

Preheat oven to 180 (350)
Line cookie trays with baking paper - makes about 36 cookies
Combine coconut, sugar and sifted flour in a large mixing bowl and mix well
Make a well in the flour mixture and stir in melted butter and milk, and mix well

Shape level tablesppons of mixture into balls
Place balls abut 7 cm apart on the oven trays
Gently push an indentation into the centre of each biscuit
Drop about 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of jam or a half glace cherry into each biscuit
Bake for about 15 minutes or until they are lightly browned

Leave cookies on trays till they are firm to touch and cool on wire racks (and then hide them from the family)
