Royal Victoria Court’s – Grand Lecturer’s Official

Royal Victoria Court’s – Grand Lecturer’s Official Visit has always been a very special occasion and our August 2010 O/V proved to be no exception. Honoured Lady Dalvene Sheppard witnessed a ceremony of initiation when three new members were received into our wonderful Order.

August is mid winter and cold in Melbourne and the Court had a few of our key members on the sick list which meant as H.L. Dalvene said "an amazing degree of flexibility on the part of the team taking on more than one office for the Initiaion Ceremony".

It was a late night by the time that we all departed for home but a most enjoyable night as can be seen in the photo taken over supper of H.L. Helen Wright, S. K. Trevor and H.Ls Dalvene Shepherd and our Royal Matron, Helen Steel.

We have a most faithful membership and we salute members like H.L. Francis Cross the longest serving member of Royal Victoria Court and of course the sterling service of H.L. Norma and Ron Croft who travel some three hours or more from their property in country each month to support us.

Exciting news on the occasion of our Grand Royal Matron’s Official Visit in October we will have another candidate to be received into our Order.
