Order of the Amaranth
The Order of the Amaranth has a special focus on charity. Charitable work flows from a commitment to care for the welfare of others. Each year the Order adopts and support a charitable project. In Australia The Order of the Amaranth has Courts meeting in New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania and Victoria.
- Royal Victoria Court’s – Grand Lecturer’s Official Visit has always been a very special occasion and our August 2010 O/V proved to be no exception. Honoured Lady Dalvene Sheppard witnessed a ceremony of initiation when three new members were received into our wonderful Order.
- Tour of Bankstown Airfield, Starkie Drive Bankstown at 10 am and lunch at Bankstown Trotting and Recreational Club Eldridge Street Bankstown at the Bistro.
- Endeavour Court was ‘twice blessed’ at its August Meeting with the Official Visit of the Grand Lecturer, H.L. Dalvine Sheppard, from the Grand Court of New South Wales and to celebrate the 14th Birthday of the Court.

- The Grand Court Session will be held at the Bankstown Sports Club 8 Greenfield Pde Bankstown on Thursday the 24th Friday the 25th and Saturday the 26th March 2011 Times to be advised
- The Grand Court Annual Ball will be held on Saturday at the 25th September 2010 at the Red Gum Centre, Wentworthville Sydney Cost of Tickets $43 each and are available from Court Secretaries
- Zoo Australia expressed their thanks for the generous donation made by Endeavour Court as the Royal Matron's Project for 2009/2010
- It is estimated that H.L. Nella nominated a total of 105 members to her beloved Order Nella joined the Order of the Amaranth, North Sydney Court in 1958 and was elected Royal Matron in 1963. She held several positions in Grand Court and in March 1967 was installed as District Deputy Royal Matron to Gosford.
- H.L. Edna Peterson turned 90 on 3rd August and on Sunday the 1st August her Daughter Margo and Son Stephen gave her a party to celelbrate
- Targeting Growth is our objective for 2010 – 2011. We need to develop new strategies to deal with the decline in membership we have experienced in recent years.
